California Wine Country

We left Napa, and drove west toward Occidental, our base for the next three days. We stopped in Glen Ellen at a fabulous market, where we had coffee and chocolate cake. We also found the prepared food section very enticing, and bought dinner as well. We made a quick stop at Dave's Bike Shop in Santa Rosa, before we finally settled in at Negri's Motel in Occidental. The next days route was the toughest and most spectacular. Everyone had said that King's Ridge Road was a must. I apologize for how little justice my pictures can do. The scenery is spectacular. The climbing is relentless, but it is absolutely worthwhile. Sonoma County has some of the most spectacular quiet roads and scenery I have ever experienced. I again apologize that my feeble photography skills do not do this area justice.
