Scott and Melinda delivered freshly laundered clothes the next morning and joined us for the first part of our ride toward Greenwood, South Carolina. I believe we recruited Melinda for next year's southern crossing, and almost managed to recruit both of them for the final two days of riding. But responsibilities called and they turned back toward home.
