D2R2 2007

In 2007, D2R2 was held on the hottest day of the year. John, Don and Pete arose before dawn and made French toast and bacon, setting off the smoke alrm in the process. Dena and Pamela managed to get back to sleep in spite of this. The lads got an early start, when the temps were still a moderate 90! One might think that Pamela and Dena were wise to chose the shorter 100Km option, but they missed the coolest part of the day, and no one who saw them struggling up those hills with their single speed machines would have called them wise!
